I was incredibly blessed to have been raised in a home where I was given the opportunity to attend  religious schools and church. Although I had heard the Gospel for years, it had never affected me on a heart level. Throughout high school and entering college I lived a life that was completely self-focused. What I wanted, my reputation, and my desires had complete rule over me and God never entered the equation outside of the hour I spent with Him at church. My sophomore year of college I began to hang out with Brittanny, one of my sorority sisters, and she began to share with me what Christ had done for her and what He offered me also. Although I had heard these things my whole life, the idea of having a relationship with the Creator of the Universe had never occurred to me. The Lord revealed to me that I was a sinner in desperate need of a Savior and that He had died for me, choosing me to be His daughter! I cried out to God, begging Him to take my heart for His own. Since that day, the Lord has been nothing but faithful in exchanging my desires for His own and giving me a heart for His people.
