I grew up learning about God from my parents and my church as early as I can remember. I wanted to please God and to be with Him in Heaven. I did all I could to be a good person, yet at the same time I was living for my own success and acceptance from others. In college, I was exposed to Campus Outreach through my sorority. It was through seeing their authentic love for God and hearing the gospel explained so clearly that I began to examine my life and wonder why I couldn't maintain this love for God and life devoted to Him. God opened my eyes to see that I had been trusting in my good works to make me pleasing to Him. He made clear to me that only Jesus' righteousness imparted to me would reconcile me to Himself. God changed my heart and gave me desires to know Him and live to make Him known to others. His gift of grace still amazes me today.
