While growing up, it appeared to others that I lived a moral lifestyle. Despite appearing to be “good” on the surface, my life’s pursuit was a selfish ambition that had me as the lord of my own life. My freshmen year of college at Indiana State I was encountered with the gospel of Christ by Brett Barnes who works on staff with Campus Outreach. The Lord revealed to me that there was a vast difference between knowing about Him intellectually and intimately knowing Him through faith. By God’s grace, He convicted me of my sin and revealed to me that Christ was my only hope for salvation. It has brought me much joy as God has changed my heart and given me a desire to know Him more and to tell others about where true life is found.
