My Testimony: “I grew up believing that I was a Christian due to my long time church attendance and comparatively "good" morality. However, after becoming a freshman at the University of Southern Indiana and having my dream of excelling in collegiate athletics and academics realized, my life suddenly felt empty and I became disinterested in living up to the moral code which I believed Christianity required. It was at this time that I met a Campus Outreach staff member who befriended me and shared that the reason that I had felt so empty and broken at the time was that my desires were not too strong, but yet, too weak. He shared that I actually could never measure up to God's moral standard of perfection and that was why Jesus came down to live the perfect life that I could not live and die a death that I deserved so that in him I could become the righteousness of God and find my worth, identity, and satisfaction in a relationship with this God of the universe through faith and repentance. Since putting my trust in this gospel, I now live a life of true joy, hope, and satisfaction and desire to grow in personal relationship with my creator and serve him in every area of my life.”
