According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
Abigail’s Testimony: “My freshman year I met a girl who was in Campus Outreach, and she started reading the Bible with me and a few other girls. I became convinced that the Bible was trustworthy and true, and that following Jesus would change everything. I also began to feel heartbroken over my sin instead of just feeling shame because of it. My whole life I had been told about Jesus but had never understood why he would forgive me. I didn’t want my life to continue the way it had been going so I asked the Lord to open my eyes to see the truth of the gospel. I began to see that what happened on the cross was an exchange - Jesus took my sin on himself and took the punishment in my place, and that in return he offers me his righteousness and perfect record. All I had to do is accept his free gift of grace and trust him completely for my salvation. Because of his great love he brought me from death to life and now I live for him.”
Kale’s Testimony: “The Lord gave me parents and extended family who loved him and pointed me to him throughout my childhood. I turned from my sin and trusted in Jesus when I was about seven years old, after which many faithful men helped me grow spiritually, including my grandpa and youth pastor. I especially grew in college, where I experienced rich community and accountability with fellow believers in my dorm hall, my local church, and the Campus Outreach staff and students at our church. The CO staff helped me learn how to share the gospel, be vulnerable with other men, lead Bible studies, and prioritize involvement in the local church. After college, I served as a CO staff at Bellarmine University for 2.5 years. I loved sharing the gospel and discipling students there, and after a year of pursuing other career opportunities and learning through a pastoral residency, I am excited to once again reach college students at Indiana University Indianapolis!”
